Wheaton has had it's share of celebrities. Wheaton was home to the following at one time or another: the one and only John Belushi of Saturday Night Live and Animal House fame; Wes Craven, horror film director, most moted for Nightmare on Elm Street; infamous Watergate reporter, Bob Woodward; Football Hall of Famer, Red Grange; and astronomer, Edwin Hubble, for which the Hubble telescope is named after.
Transportation to City
Close to Highways (I 355 and I 88 and I 290) and Metra train service(Union Pacific/West Line) for a 45 minute ride. 2 Metra train stations are found in Wheaton.
Transportation to Airports
35 minutes to O'Hare 50 minutes to Midway by car. Convenient limo services offering shared rides for approx $50. I personally have used A-1 limousine for over 10 years with excellent satisfaction.
Shopping!
Wheaton's downtown offers quaint shops and restaurants. Roosevelt corridor offers more shopping. Danada Square is an outdoor mall in Wheaton. Large Malls within 20 minutes: Yorktown, Oak Brook, Stratford Mall and Woodfield Mall.

Plenty of opportunities for fast food and sit down restaurants. My favorites are Adelle's for American,
Egglectic Cafe -breakfast and brunch, Rosati's for ribs and pizza takeout, Arrowhead Golf for a $10 burger. Houlihans, and Macaroni Grill for family outings.

Many professionals commute to city or work from home. Retail, service, educational and medical jobs available in community.
Sports & Fun Things to Do
Great Park District for football, Little league baseball, soccer. Fairgrounds!
Professional sports-Chicago Bears, Bulls, Cubs, White Sox, Blackhawks. Minor league baseball: Kane County Cougars, Schaumburg Flyers. Minor League Hockey: Wolves.
Visit Cosley Zoo run by the Wheaton Park District for exploring Illionis wildlife in natural habitats, such as, the White-Tailed Deer, Red Fox, 3-toed Box Turtle, Black-crowned Night Heron and a selection of other animals.

Wheaton has an excellent school system with schools that excel on a national scale. District 200 consists of 13 elementary schools, 4 middle schools, and 2 high schools which annually rate among the top schools in the Chicagoland area.
