Will and Grace actor, Sean Hayes grew up in Glen Ellyn and attended Glenbard West as did ESPN  Dream job winner, Mike Hall who is currently a Big Ten Network Anchor. Julia Roberts comes for a visit now and then. Larry the Cable guy filmed scenes from his Witless Protection Film during the summer of 2007 in Glen Ellyn. Other notorieties-actor, Gary Sinise; mystery writer, Jeffery Deaver, actresses , Amy Carlson and Patricia Tallman attended Glenbard West High School.

Close to Highways (I 355 and I 88 and I 290) and Metra train service for a 40 minute ride.

35 minutes to O'Hare airport, 50 minutes to Midway airport by car. Convenient limo services offering shared rides for approx $45. I personally have used A-1 limousine for over 10 years with excellent satisfaction.

Village of Glen Ellyn offer quaint shops. Roosevelt corridor offers more shopping. Danada Square is close by in Wheaton. Large Malls within 20 minutes: Yorktown, Oak Brook, Stratford Mall and Woodfield Mall.

Plenty of opportunities for fast food and sit down restaurants. My favorites are Tap House Grill, Vitorio´s for Italian, Shannon´s for Irish pub scene, Beijing for Chinese, Barone´s for pizza, the Glen Oak for breakfast.
